Members of the High School Honor Band earned the right to audition for the Missouri All-State Band. Those auditions take place live on Dec. 4 at Hickman High School in Columbia.
The KJHS musicians are led by Band teacher Jamie Heil. The KHS musicians are led by Ms. Heil, Band teacher Chris Heil, and Marching and Concert Band teacher Heidi Dodd.

“Our band students demonstrated that they’ve got the talent and commitment to be among the best in the district and state. They earned that distinction,” Mr. Heil said. “We’re proud of the effort they put in under some pretty tough circumstances. These results speak for themselves.”
