Procedures:
Students will sign-in at the Kearney Junior High library to do their homework, study for tests, make up assignments, use the computers for schoolwork, and/or get help from certified teachers and high school A+ tutors. Opportunity is given for students to work on homework during Bulldog Zone, however, it is not the responsibility of the Bulldog Zone tutors to ensure that a student’s homework is completed or correct. Students may also utilize Bulldog Zone for library resources or a quiet place to read.
Students participating in Bulldog Zone must remain in the library until they have a ride home or other arrangements have been made.
Hours/Days of Operation:
Bulldog Zone is in the KJH library from 2:30-4:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The school calendar will be followed in all instances. There will be no Bulldog Zone on holidays, snow days, or days when school is dismissed due to inclement weather.
Rules:
The rules are the same as school day rules. Students will not interfere with the learning, safety, or well-being of others. Students choosing to violate school rules will be subject to KSD procedures, and if needed, we will call home for early dismissal and/or refer student to school administration. Students participating in this program are subject to school discipline, which could include suspension from school or removal from the program as determined by the building administration.
